Occupation period in Lithuania. Dwellers face the food shortages as usually it happens in the period of war. Insidious seller exploits the situation. With his wife, he sells smuggled goods for chosen purchasers. In the guise of old ailing woman, the big pig is smuggled into his shop. At the moment when speculator is ready to share its meat with privileged customers the officials enter the room. It turns the shopkeeper was betrayed by angry business partner. Speculator is sent to prison. Official appeals to the audience, urging them to be conscious citizens during the war and carry out their duties. As long as he pathetically talks about the best men of a nation fighting in the front, peasants, workers at work munition factories, mortars, marching German army, military vehicles, aviation are demonstrated.
